Villa Colombo - Unique in Tuscany, with Florence at your feet

On the hills of Tuscany, in Lastra a Signa, is Villa Colombo, built in the second half of the nineteenth century. The villa for many years was the family residence and today for the first time it opens to guests who want to know this wonder. From the gardens and terraces, guests can enjoy the exclusive panorama of the Arno plain and the city of Florence. Like a picture outside of time, whoever stands in front of a window or lies down on one of the terraces can contemplate, at his feet, the city that fascinated Michelangelo. Its strategic location at 15' from Florence, one of the richest cities of history and art, consecrate this villa as an ideal place for cultural holidays and rest. The villa is also an excellent starting point for trips and to other nearby cities such as San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Arezzo. Although some people say that the visitor who arrives at Villa Colombo would prefer to stay right there, in the swimming pool under the olive trees, or on the terrace contemplating the top of the Duomo far away, at night, walking around the park, in those endless instants of paradise.

Garden and Pool Description

The Villa is surrounded by a seven-hectare tract of land with olive trees, vineyards and a swimming pool.

The pool measures 10.6 x 5 meters and is equipped with hot and cold shower, gazebo, tables and deck chairs.

Parking Facilities

A large parking is available in the back garden of the villa.

Interiors Description

The Villa built over 1,100 square meters can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests distributed in two floors and an attic on the third floor. With a typically Tuscan style from the second half of the XIX century, the halls and rooms are decorated with original period furniture that recreates the atmosphere of those years but, at the same time, they have been refurbished with the latest technology in order to create pleasant, magic and suggestive atmospheres.

Villa Colombo has 7 bedrooms that easily adapt to guests’ needs during their stay: one master bedroom suite, two bedrooms with double bed (with the possibility of transforming one of them in a twin bedroom), two bedrooms with two single beds and two bedrooms with a single bed. The house has 5 bathrooms: one ensuite bathroom, one full bathroom with shower and bathtub, two bathrooms with shower, one toilette and 2 restrooms in the barbecque area outside the house.

Other house rooms for relax and recreation are the living room with various settings in the ground floor, the dining room, the sitting room with TV set and the playroom in the attic.

Kitchen

The kitchen, recently restored and fully-equipped, completes the comfort of the place and it is direct connected to the garden.

Equipment for cooking and dining: dinnerware set service for twelve persons, stove/oven, 2 refrigerators, microwave and dishwasher.

Linens

All linen (beds, bathrooms, kitchen) is included and a weekly change is provided.
